Overnight pet boarding with 24/7 care
Welcome to Magnolia Hill Pet Retreat in Port Byron, Illinois. We provide compassionate, round-the-clock boarding where your pet is never left alone, ensuring total peace of mind every night.
What makes our boarding exceptional
Unlike typical kennels that lock up at night, we prioritize your dog's health, safety, and emotional well-being through constant supervision, hygienic accommodations, and balanced daily routines. A pet is never left alone in our building. Caregivers remain on-site 24 hours a day, supported by SimpliSafe security, to handle nighttime needs and offer attentive care. Our facilities are sanitized on a regular cleaning schedule utilizing name brand kennel disinfectants and virucide not bleach, while this is not as cost effective your pets safety is our number one priority. All kennels are fully sanitized and cleaned between guests and as needed during stays.
4'x16' Indoor/Outdoor Kennels
Our private kennels are designed by the American Kennel Club using premium polyvinyl plastic. This ultra-hygienic setup prevents bacteria buildup and keeps pets healthy, clean, and comfortable. The poly walls ensure your pet has its privacy so no other animal can tease bark directly at or put unwanted stress on your pet.
5'x6' Indoor Kennels
Our Indoor 5'x6' kennels are recommended for single large breeds or smaller sibling breeds, or dogs needing more personal care. Dogs staying in the same kennel must get along at all times. If a problem arises, the dogs will be put into separate kennels and an additional kennel charge will occur.
4'x16' Companion Kennels
The perfect setup for family dogs, the companion kennels allow sibling dogs to share space of two kennels but also be separate during feeding and/or sleep if needed. Please specify
Family Cat Room
Our family cat room is 6'x6' and only reservable to one family of cats at a time. We provide a litter box, elevated bed, toys and various bowl options. Cats are welcome to bring any comfort items they wish.
A structured, caring day from sunrise to lights out
Every morning starts with a potty break and breakfast between 6:00 and 7:00 AM, followed by belly rest and outdoor fun. Afternoons feature restful quiet time, dinner, and evening play, wrapping up with a final let out between 9:00 and 10:00 PM before our overnight caregiver takes over.
What to pack for your stay
We supply elevated beds and stainless-steel bowls for every guest. Please bring your dog or cat's regular food and treats portioned into ziplock bags or an airtight container with clear feeding instructions, or select our house food option (Diamond Naturals dog food) for a fee. We have refrigeration and freezer space for raw foods as well. Blankets and favorite hard chew toys from home are welcome to help them feel comfortable (no bones or squeaker toys permitted).
Health & safety guidelines
To protect the health of all animals, dogs must have Rabies, DHPP/DAPP, and Bordetella vaccines administered by a veterinarian at least two weeks before checking in. Visiting feline friends require Rabies and FVRCP vaccinations. Our team shares photo updates whenever time permits so you can see your happy pet thriving.
