Frequently asked questions

Is there really a person in the building with the animals all night long?

Yes! We have staff members on site all night long to ensure the absolute comfort and safety of your pet. Staff is trained to respond to emergencies that could arise such as illness or fire.

What are the requirements for daycare and boarding?

Dogs must have the required vaccinations two weeks prior to boarding, which include Bordetella, Distemper, and Rabies. A group play evaluation is required for group play daycare. Cats must have Rabies and Distemper.

Can you give my dog medication?

Of course. Please leave all medication in orginal packaging and include clear, written instructions.

What happens if my dog has an emergency?

We do our absolute best to contact you first. If you can not be reached, we then try your emergency contact. If your vet is able, we will take your pet there, if it is after business hours we will take your pet directly to Animal Emergency Center of the Quad Cities in Bettendorf, IA.

Can I bring items from home?

Yes, but we ask you not to bring toys with squeakers in them. We do not guarantee the condition of any item brought with animals.

What does it cost to be a member of the dog park?

Membership is fulfilled by submitting your dog's current vaccination records in person or emailing them to info@magnoliahillpetretreat.com our fees are 5 dollars a visit good all day or 20 dollars a month.  Our fee covers all of your pets for the day!

Can my dogs be boarded in the same kennel?

Yes, as long as the dogs get along all of the time. That means they do not need to be separated during feedings, and have no issues with resource guarding. If that is an issue, please try and reserve one of our companion kennels, which allows us to separate the dogs at feeding time and/or night time.
